Arts Education Opportunities
The Viterbo Fine Arts Center offers arts education opportunities for all ages.
Arts for Young America School Series
Each season, we present matinees for area school children in the Viterbo Fine Arts Center Main Theatre. On average, we welcome about 20,000 teachers and students in grades PK-12. Some travel up to 75 miles for performances. Professional touring companies as well as Viterbo theatre and music theatre students fill the stage with drama and song; the performances have strong curricular ties to areas such as language arts, history, music, relationship building, and multicultural awareness.
Masterclasses and Residencies
Many of the professional artists who visit the Fine Arts Center lead master classes and workshops both with our Viterbo students, as well as groups in the community such as schools and dance studios. The expertise these professional artists share further enhance these students' experiences and abilities in music, drama, and dance.
