From Good to Great: The Center for Professional Learning Ignites Leadership, Fuels Innovation, Empowers Communities

Viterbo University’s Center for Professional Learning (CPL) creates customized educational programs to transform organizations and communities.

Whether on our campus or in your organization, our facilitators—experienced professionals emphasizing practical, experiential, and immediately applicable outcomes—create learning environments that energize and engage employees and build leaders. Employees leave with a higher sense of purpose and passion to champion your business’s success.

Our goal is to inspire individuals, organizations, and communities by providing resources and skills for leadership, innovation, and growth. We transform the way people and organizations work for the greater good.

Center for Professional Learning Highlights

The professional courses we offer—in topics such as compression planning and servant leadership—can be taken off site at an organization or other preferred location, on our main campus or the Weber Center for the Performing Arts, online, or as a hybrid of online and in person.

These options make it easier for you or your employees to attend our high-quality professional courses.

Professional Learning for Organizations

We will partner with you to offer a wide range of professional courses for your employees. We offer:

  • half- and full-day sessions.
  • weekly, monthly, and extended programs.

Our experiential learning approach will create an environment within your organization that is equipped to develop leaders, build optimal teams, execute goals, and inspire continual growth.

Servant Leadership at Viterbo

We have been recognized as a pioneer in servant leadership for more than 20 years.

Servant leadership—which flips the traditional hierarchy by placing a leader in a position of service to their team members—is associated with:

  • positive organizational outcomes.
  • employee satisfaction.
  • a collaborative work culture.

Through our professional courses, your leaders will learn how to focus on the needs of others and foster a sense of community and shared purpose within your organization. For further learning, explore our Master of Arts in Servant Leadership.
