Field education integrates the theoretical and conceptual aspects of learning to the practical world of social work practice. In the senior year, students complete a 30-hour per week, 450-hour internship at a certified social service setting working side-by-side with an agency field instructor. We have established relationships with many outstanding social service agencies for field education placements. The field education director will work with students to place them in an agency that will allow them to develop specific practice skills and interests. For more information, contact Erin Miess, field education director, at etmiess@viterbo.edu or 608-796-3729.
