VITERBO UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP AT NOON SERIES TO OPEN WITH WXOW NEWS ANCHOR DUSTIN LUECKE SEPT. 23
LA CROSSE, Wis. – WXOW evening news anchor Dustin Luecke will share his perspectives on ethical journalism, the process of gaining a news anchor position, and how storytelling and personal branding play a role in his success when he opens the 2024–25 Viterbo University Leadership at Noon series Monday, Sept. 23 in the Fine Arts Center FSPA Lobby.
An Emmy-winning journalist, Luecke’s work has also been recognized by the Wisconsin Broadcaster’s Association and the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association for excellence.
Luecke began his career in 2009 while in college, working full-time at WQOW in Eau Claire, operating the audio equipment for News 18 Daybreak and capturing local sports highlights in the evenings. After earning a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Luecke accepted a weekend reporter position at WXOW in La Crescent. He eventually transitioned to the role of weekend sports anchor, and later News 19 Daybreak. After nearly seven years in the mornings, Luecke became the evening news anchor in November 2020.
Luecke is an active member of La Crosse’s Rotary Club After Hours Chapter and he enjoys serving as an emcee/host for a number of local events.
The Leadership at Noon presentation starts at 12:20 p.m., but attendees are invited to come at noon for a complementary cup of soup and bread.
No tickets are required. Parking is available in any Viterbo parking lot and a parking pass is not required during Leadership at Noon events. The presentations will not be recorded or live-streamed.
