MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL 2: CRUSING THROUGH ‘THE CHANGE’® COMING TO VITERBO UNIVERSITY OCT. 28

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The hilarious and heartfelt look at the joys of menopause and friendship—plus hot flashes, mood swings, and memory lapses—is coming to the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center with Menopause The Musical 2: Cruising Through ‘The Change’® Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. This performance is part of the 2025–26 Bright Star Season.

This is the sequel to the long-running, international hit show Menopause The Musical®, a groundbreaking celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have experienced “The Change.” Audiences don’t need to see the first one to see the sequel. Five years after their chance encounter in a department store, set sail with four beloved ladies for high jinks on the high seas. Take a trip of self-discovery, backed by a new soundtrack of toe-tapping parodied hits from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. For these ladies, menopause was not the end, but the beginning of a beautiful friendship where love conquers all, and friendships never fail.

Seth Greenleaf directs the sequel, with Kim Simari (assistant director) and Karie Koppel (dramaturg), which is based on the original characters created by Jeanie Linders, with additional book and lyrics by Karen Bishko and Jeanette Hopkins.

“To those who have been through the change, are going through it now, or love someone who is, may this production bring you as much laughter, support, and fellowship as intended,” Greenleaf said.

The creative team includes choreographer Jonathan Stahl, scenic designer Sean McClelland, sound designer David Lanza, lighting designer Jean-Yves Tessiere assisted by Willow McGuinty, and music director Peter Aylin. It is represented by Columbia Artist Theatricals.

The performance is 90 minutes. Tickets will be available Wednesday, May 7 at 10 a.m. online and 2 p.m. by phone or in-person at the box office. Tickets are $75 for the orchestra pit, $63 for main floor/lower balcony, and $43 for upper balcony, plus taxes and fees. For more information or to order tickets, contact the Viterbo box office at 608-796-3100 or visit www.viterbo.edu/fac.
