Finding a Roommate
Viterbo University uses a program called The Housing Director (THD) to help students explore their roommate options and match-up based on similar majors, interests, housing options, or lifestyle preferences. THD is also used to select housing, to complete room condition reports, and to view your contact information (including your on-campus mailbox number and combo).
After completing your Housing Agreement and submitting your down payment, instructions to access THD's self service portal will be emailed to you via your Viterbo email and any other provided email addresses. Fill in your profile with your lifestyle preferences, interests, and housing options, then start browsing. Chat with users you're interested in and send or accept incoming requests from the users you’d like to live with.
If you find someone you'd like to live with during a Scholarship Competition or a Visit Day, you can request to live with them using the housing software's self service portal. If you'd like, staff in the Office of Residence Life can also match you with a roommate with similar lifestyle preferences instead of you finding your own roommate. Several individuals do this every year, and tend to find their roommate relationships are as good or better than their peers who self-selected.
You will be able to choose a space to live in early July. Information regarding selecting your room during your designated time will be available via email and THD Self-Service.
