About
Faculty Member Since: 2023
My professional career consists of a diverse foundation in nursing, including positions as a travel nurse, nurse educator, adjunct faculty, and assistant professor across multiple states. These experiences have provided me with a strong clinical background and a thorough understanding of the complex challenges the health care system faces.
Through my current role as assistant professor at Viterbo University, I have had the opportunity to blend my past nursing experience with academics, creating a learning environment capable of preparing undergraduate and graduate nurses fit for the various demands of the profession. In conjunction with my professional career, my academic journey continues as I pursue a PhD in nursing education through Liberty University. My hard work and dedication to success in academics has been recognized in my receiving a National Engaged Leader Award and Excellence Award in Organizational Leadership and Team Development.
In addition to my aforementioned roles, I actively engage in volunteer work in a commitment to provide service and leadership to the community. These volunteer opportunities have helped me develop strong organizational and leadership skills as well as experience in grant writing and project management, which are essential in advancing nursing education and research.
While my publication and presentation record is still developing, I am actively pursuing opportunities to contribute to the research community. Ultimately, I am committed to utilizing all of my previous experiences and education to advance the profession through exceptional teaching and diligent research. My aim is to inspire and prepare student nurses to excel in their careers and make a meaningful impact on patient care.
