La Crescent Fire and Rescue is teaming with the La Crescent boys and girls basketball programs to host a Chicken Q Friday, Sept. 11 to honor the 9/11 firefighters. The event will be held at the fire station in La Crescent, with pick-up from 4–7 p.m.

University Forum and Picnic Lunch Tomorrow

Viterbo employees are invited to attend the University Forum Tuesday, Aug. 25.

The day begins with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. in the Fine Arts Center Lobby. The forum will begin at 9 a.m. in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre and will include the introduction of new employees and service recognition.

Tom Thibodeau, servant leadership, who was voted number one in the university professor category in the recent La Crosse Area Visitor and Convention Bureau Best of La Crosse County survey. Viterbo had an excellent showing in the survey, which can be accessed here.

Symphonic Joy

Symphonic Joy, a sculpture designed and crafted by local artist Elmer Petersen, was installed near the Fine Arts Center in August. The stained glass art was a gift from Dick Record in honor of the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Ted Falkner, athletics, and his wife Katie on the birth of their son Miles Aug. 12. Miles weighed eight pounds, eight ounces and measured 19.5 inches. He was welcomed home by his brother Jackson.

Improvements Underway at Viterbo Outdoor Athletics Complex

Major improvements are underway at the Viterbo University Outdoor Athletics Complex on Highway 16—the construction of a service building that will provide running water, restrooms, a changing room, a shelter for fans, and concessions; and grading, curbing, and other modifications that will eliminate erosion of the fields f

Copy Center to Print on Recycled Paper

The Viterbo Copy, Mail, and Media Center (CMMC) is going green. The CMMC now prints copy requests on recycled white paper (produced with 30 percent recycled content). Regular white paper is still available by request for the same price.
