NFL HALL OF FAME MEMBER AND PASTOR AENEAS WILLIAMS TO PRESENT “IT TAKES RESPECT” AT VITERBO FEB. 24

LA CROSSE, Wis. – National Football League Hall of Fame member and pastor Aeneas Williams will present “It Takes Respect” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

During an outstanding 14-year career with the Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams that included a Super Bowl victory, eight Pro Bowls, and four All-Pro selections, Williams had the chance to help some of his teammates through life’s rougher patches. These opportunities led Aeneas to the realization that unhappiness doesn’t come from the things in life, but rather from the things that are missing.

Williams was one of the dominant defensive backs of his era, during which he registered 55 interceptions and scored 12 defensive touchdowns. He retired from football in 2004 and was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2014. Today he spreads his message through speaking engagements across the country. He is a beloved St. Louis community leader and role model whose tireless service, outreach, and personal counsel have improved many lives. In 2007, Williams and his wife of 23 years, Tracy, founded The Spirit Church in St. Louis, where he serves as senior pastor.

This presentation is part of the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership’s spring lecture series and is part of Viterbo University’s “The Art of Peace” Humanities Symposium.
