Fall V-Hawk Orientation

V-Hawk Orientation

Destination: Viterbo University

Welcome New V-Hawks!

What is New Student Orientation?

Held before each semester, New Student Orientation helps ease your transition to Viterbo and introduces you to campus resources, people, and opportunities. Whether you're a first-year or transfer student, orientation prepares you for a strong start. Studies show that students who attend and participate in New Student Orientation are more successful, more involved, and more knowledgeable about their campus than students who do not attend orientation programming.

To ensure student success, New Student Orientation is required for all new incoming first-year and transfer students.

2025 Fall Orientation Schedule:

New Student Orientation  starts Thursday, August 21, after  New Student Move-In and runs through Sunday, August 24. Classes begin Monday, August 25.

Orientation Groups:

All new students are paired with an Orientation Leader, called a Bene, who is an experienced Hawk that is here to support and guide your transition to Viterbo.

Watch your Viterbo email this summer to find out who your Bene is and which O-Group you are in. Each group has its own schedule of meeting times and locations.

Your O-Group (also your VUSM-100 classmates) will help you build the skills and connections to start strong. You will explore campus, discover resources, and learn what it means to be a V-Hawk.

Come ready to meet new people, have fun, and get to know Viterbo and La Crosse!
