Dia de los Muertos (continued) | All Day | San Damiano Chapel | All students, staff, faculty and community members are welcome to visit the Día de los Muertos altar during San Damiano chapel open hours from October 30th through the month of November. This Mexican tradition is a celebration of loved ones and ancestors who have passed over to a place beyond life. In celebration of their spiritual journeys, please feel free to bring photos and small tokens to commemorate deceased loved ones. | |

La Crosse SOUP | 6-7:30 p.m. | Concordia Ballroom 1129 La Crosse St. | SOUP is for people of all ages and together we strive to make La Crosse better. For a suggested donation of $5, attendees receive a cup of soup and a vote. Listen to four groups pitch their idea for four minutes each on how they plan to make our community better. The audience can ask up to four questions of each presenter. Once all ideas are shared, everyone votes for their favorite. | |

"Resilient Living" with Amit Sood, M.D. | 7-9 p.m. | FAC Main Theater | Amit Sood, M.D., professor of medicine and director of the Mind-Body Medicine Initiative at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., will present “Resilient Living” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre. This lecture is being held in conjunction with Viterbo University’s annual Seven Rivers Undergraduate Research Symposium. It is part of the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership’s fall 2018 lecture series and is free and open to the public. No tickets are necessary, but seating is limited. |
