Family Day 2024
  • Mentalist Brian Imbus will provide quality laughs and mesmerize the audience starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, in the Fine Arts Center recital hall.

  • Family Day Service Saturday (8 a.m.-1 p.m.):  This is an annual tradition in which students and their families join other members of the Viterbo community to undertake community service projects. More than 130 people participated in 2023.
    • Registration and breakfast start at 8 a.m. Participants will work on community service projects from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by lunch and reflection conversations. Parents and students should coordinate their Service Saturday online registration.
    • Priority registration deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 11, to ensure participants work at the service project site they prefer. Early registration ensures the broadest number of service project choices.  Click here to view photos from last year.
  • Shop for Viterbo University apparel from noon-3 p.m. in the bookstore
  • Hidden Trails Corn Maze in West Salem (2:30-4:30 p.m.): Pick apples, sample delicious foods, play games, explore the farm, and meet some friendly farm animals. Admission fee is covered by Viterbo.
    • Bus shuttle will leave from the corner of Eighth and Winnebago streets, next to the Mathy Center.  Please plan to arrive in plenty of time for a 2 p.m. departure.
    • Families are welcome to drive separately and check in at Hidden Trails.
    • Students need to bring their Viterbo ID for free entry for themselves and their family.
  • Viterbo Mini Golf Invitational (6-9 p.m.): Join us in the Todd Wehr Memorial Library for a lively round of mini golf with fun, food, and prizes. Students can play solo, with family/guests, or start a new tradition with your roommates.  Bonus: Get to know the library and its resources/team while golfing.

Students who don't have family joining the festivities  can stop by one of the letter-writing stations around campus and get all the supplies needed to craft a message to the folks who've supported them. Viterbo will take care of postage!
