2024 Outstanding Dietetics Student Award - Coordinated Program - Delaney Gresser  

Delaney Gresser

Delaney Gresser was awarded the WAND Outstanding Dietetic Student Award for the 2023-2024 academic year. Delaney has been a leader on campus by volunteering in the summer undergraduate research fellowship (SURF) where she completed a study focusing on the effectiveness of a cheat day when incorporated with standard nutrition intervention and presented the findings at the Seven Rivers Research Symposium. Her graduate research project focused on "The Impact of Sleep Deprivation on Hunger Related Hormones, A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis." Ms. Gresser also served as the Activities Coordinator for Fitness Lifestyle Organization for Women at the University of W La Crosse from 2019-2021, where she planned weekly events that focused on the physical, mental, and social health of college students. She has been an active member of the Student Dietetic Association (SDA) since 2021 where she was a major player in fundraising events. She demonstrated an extremely strong work ethic throughout the program, meeting all deadlines, and doing so while producing high-quality work with a positive attitude. She is flexible, approachable, mature, and a great team player. Congratulations on being awarded the Outstanding Dietetic Student Award!

2023 Outstanding Dietetics Student Award - Coordinated Program Jessalyn Wilson

Jessalyn is a student at Viterbo University and has served as the WAND Western Region Elect in the 2021-2022 year, and has since become the Western Region Representative for the current year. On campus, Jessalyn has been the Secretary of Viterbo’s Student Dietetics Association where she organized and supervised their annual apple pie fundraiser.
