Register Today for the Friar Frolic 5K

Viterbo’s sixth annual Friar Frolic 5K Run/Walk will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8. The event is being hosted by Rec Sports and is part of Viterbo Days.

The last day for early bird registration is Saturday, Sept. 24. Fees increase $5 after that day. Regular registration runs through the day of the event.

International Day of Peace and Community Outdoor Taize Prayer Wednesday

The International Day of Peace is Wednesday, Sept. 21. Viterbo campus ministry invites the campus community to an outdoor community Taize prayer service that emphasizes Pope Francis’ message of Peace. The service will be held near Dancing Francis in Assisi Courtyard at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21.

VITERBO UNIVERSITY TO OFFER SCHOLARSHIP FOR COLLEGE READINESS PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University will offer a $1,000 per year (up to $4,000) scholarship to students who have participated in a college readiness program in high school and who enroll at the university starting fall 2017.

Welcome Back Breakfast Thursday

Employees are invited to enjoy a Welcome Back Breakfast of breakfast sandwiches (gluten free option available), fruit, and coffee from 7:30–9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 in the School of Nursing Building Foyer.

Viterbo to Present Riders to the Sea and The Impresario Sept. 24–25

The outstanding singers of the Viterbo music department will perform two one-act operas, Riders to the Sea and The Impresario, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.

This year’s Seven Rivers Undergraduate Research Symposium is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 11. Online registration for this event involving colleges and universities from the tri-state area will open Monday, Sept. 26 and will close Friday, Oct. 28.
