Brandon Schoonover doesn’t take Viterbo University’s well-established reputation as a military friendly school for granted. As president of Viterbo’s Student Veterans of America chapter, he’s doing everything he can to strengthen and enhance that support for military-aligned students.

Angelo Ferreira Teston, a business administration international student-athlete from Dourados, Brazil, transformed Viterbo’s international admissions (IA) procedure. Through his internship with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), Viterbo’s approach to supporting incoming international students has been strengthened.
For Shannon McManimon, program director of Viterbo’s Ethical Leadership Doctorate in Education program, the concepts of transformation and education are inextricably linked. Part of McManimon’s vision for the EdD in ethical leadership program recognizes that there are challenges in the world and that leadership is important to help move through those challenges. She said her hope is that the program would help to teach students how to work toward the common good and how to be more fully human.
Congratulations to Viterbo senior elementary education major Livi Pappadopoulos, who received the Outstanding College Student Award at the YWCA Tribute to Outstanding Women event Oct. 26.

Whitney Hegseth '14 is the marketing communications manager at Gensler, the world’s largest architecture firm. She said her biggest takeaway from her time as an undergraduate business major at Viterbo is the value of servant leadership, and she returned to campus to earn a servant leadership certificate in 2021.
