VITERBO SPRING CHOIR CONCERT AT ST. ROSE CONVENT MAY 4

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University’s Concert Choir, 9th Street Singers, Vive Voce, and Choral Arts community group will perform a spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4 in Mary of the Angels Chapel at St. Rose Convent.

The concert will feature works by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Charles Villers Stanford, Elaine Hagenberg, and numerous other composers. The Viterbo Concert Choir, 9th Street Singers, and Viterbo Choral Arts are under the direction of faculty member James Wilson. Mouah lou (Lou) Xiong is the director of the Vive Voce student-led ensemble. Featured guest artists include organist Dr. Brian Luckner and cellist Alex Fowler.

The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m.

“This is the only opportunity I am aware of in La Crosse where you can hear four high quality ensembles perform in such a beautiful space free of charge,” Wilson said. “Making quality choral music more widely available to the local public has been one of my strongest goals during my time at Viterbo.”
