DALLAS STRING QUARTET TO PRESENT A BRIDGERTON-INSPIRED SHOW AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY FEB. 14
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Celebrate Valentine’s Day with the Dallas String Quartet’s A Bridgerton-Inspired Show at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
The Dallas String Quartet, also known as DSQ Electric, will lead a musical journey transcending time as they create a harmonious blend of contemporary hits and timeless love songs that will sweep audience members off their feet and transport them to a romantic realm, perfectly complementing the elegance and sophistication of the popular Netflix series.
Step into a world of romantic enchantment as the Dallas String Quartet presents a captivating Valentine's Day performance infused with the allure of Bridgerton, while setting the stage for an evening filled with passion and grace. The timeless melodies of Taylor Swift's Wildest Dreams and Shawn Mendes' emotive In My Blood, to Katy Perry's sweet Teenage Dream, Bad Guy by Billie Eilish, and the soulful If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys intertwine seamlessly with the classic beauty of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. The second half of the show will feature modern, electric instruments and will take things up a notch with a high energy set list. The accompaniment of drums and guitar will keep all music fans on the edge of their seat.
Described as “Bach meets Bon Jovi,” the core members of Dallas String Quartet are acclaimed musicians violist Ion Zanca, violinists Valory Hight and Melissa Priller, and bassist Young Heo. The group has performed for Presidents Obama and Bush, with superstars such as Ed Sheeran, Luke Combs, and Ashley McBryde, at the Academy of Country Music Awards, and for the NBA and NFL organizations. In Oct. 2022, the group’s album Love Always debuted at #2 on the Billboard Chart in both Classical Crossover Albums and Classical Albums categories.
This performance is sponsored by WXOW News 19, La Crosse Graphics, and Candlewood Suites. It is supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
