Viterbo University has been working with Refuge International (an organization based out of Texas: https://refugeinternational.com/guatemala-medical-mission-trips/) since 2007 to provide medical care in San Raymundo, Guatemala. Graduate nursing students in the NP tracks provide primary care, pre-operative assessments, and education to the indigenous community. Our Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing students provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients and also participate in public health at the local schools.
