This high-intermediate course emphasizes writing as students publish El Sol, Spanish newspaper for which they will interact with the local Hispanic community, do short research, read and watch culturally-authentic materials, prepare oral presentations and present several writing drafts. . Students who complete this class as their first college Spanish class with at least a C also receive nine retroactive credits for SPAN-101 and 102 or 103, 250 and 251.Prerequisite: grade of BC or higher in 250 or 251 or by departmental exam.
