This traditional graduation prelude event offers a chance for graduating students to find everything they need for commencement.
You also can learn about post-college options for career and graduate degree programs, discover the many benefits afforded them as Viterbo alumni, and get your picture taken for a slideshow of graduating seniors.
At Countdown to Commencement, you can ask all the questions you might have about the Dec. 14 graduation ceremony, such as, "Are tickets needed for guests to attend, and how many can I get?"
Countdown to Commencement is practical and useful, but it’s also a well-earned celebration — with hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.
Countdown to Commencement is organized by stations in the Fine Arts Center's FSPA Lobby. Here’s what you’ll find:
Viterbo University Bookstore
- Pick up your cap and gown! Undergraduates who want to pick up their cap and gown at Countdown to Commencement can order them through the Josten's website. Graduate students can purchase their regalia through the bookstore website.
- Diploma frames available for purchase (order through the bookstore website for a $25 discount)

Alumni Association
- Have a photo taken in your cap and gown for a graduation slide show
- Get details on the graduation cap decorating contest
- Find out about your alumni benefits

Viterbo Graduate Programs
- Explore ways to advance or change your career path, today or in the future, with Viterbo's graduate admissions team. Viterbo offers licensures, master’s, and doctoral programs in business, counseling, education, nursing, dietetics, and leadership.

- Visit with Viterbo career services staff about job prospects and more
- Complete a quick and easy mandatory graduate placement survey (or do the survey online)
Josten’s
- Order custom graduation announcements or a class ring
Can't make it to the Countdown?
- Regalia can be picked up at the bookstore after Countdown or you can request it be shipped to you (charges apply).
- Take the graduate placement survey online.
- Email a photo of yourself (in regalia or other attire) to be included in the graduate slideshow by Friday, Nov. 29.
