Current Landscape
Congregational life has changed significantly in recent decades and even more dramatically in the past four years due to COVID-19. The pandemic accelerated trends like declining church attendance and religious disaffiliation, while civic organizations focused on social justice and community-building have gained momentum. To stay relevant, the church must foster identity, belonging, and purpose among its members, engaging with the world beyond worship. As theologian Gary Simpson suggests, congregations can position themselves as "public moral companions" in the community and emphasize public engagement and outreach. PATHWAYS addresses these ideas and will help congregations serve as a moral force in society.
Who PATHWAYS Is For?
PATHWAYS is designed for Priests, Pastors, Lay Leaders, and other Congregational Leaders of Christian faith. We want to walk alongside you in your journey to create a thriving congregation at no cost to you.
