Viterbo faculty, administration, and staff are invited to present and/or attend the eight Annual Celebration of Teaching and Learning on Friday, Feb. 17, from 3:30–5:00 p.m. in the FSPA Lobby of the Fine Arts Center. Visit the site to register. Join faculty and instructors from a variety of disciplines as we share teaching and learning experiences, instructional strategies, methods, and outcomes via 15-minute mini sessions. To present, sign up by Monday, Feb. 13. Scholarly or informal work related to teaching and learning is welcome. Those attending will enjoy wine, beer, snacks, and the good company of colleagues and friends.
The Global Connection Club will meet Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 3:30–4:30 p.m. in the Inclusion Center NRC 447.
Viterbo students are invited to register for a spring break Service Immersion to Milwaukee from Sunday March 12, returning to campus on Friday, March 17. Click here to register by Feb. 1. The small group of 5–10 students + 2 Viterbo employees will stay at Casa Romero Retreat Center downtown Milwaukee. The group will visit multiple non-profits to serve alongside, learn from, and build relationships with a variety of organizations and the guests they serve. The group will engage with reflective activities, service, and a few cultural immersion experiences throughout the week. Join Tuesday Jan. 24 for an info session from 3–4 p.m. in Murphy 348. The remarkable dance company Pilobolus is turning 50. Their Big Five–Oh! tour brings a mix of pieces ranging from vintage to visionary to the fresh and electrifying to the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. (Note: This show starts 30 minutes earlier than other scheduled Bright Star performances.)
A free self-defense class provided by the Ironworks Driftless Acadamy will be offered tomorrow, Jan. 25 from 5-6 p.m. at the Mathy Center. Register here.
Fiber Fun in the Library: The library is starting a “Fiber Fun” group which will meet weekly on Tuesdays noon–1 p.m. Those interested in knitting, crocheting, needlework, crafting, or other portable creative-type projects are invited to join. All students, staff, and faculty are welcome. Bring your lunch, if you’d like. Meet by the fireplace at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
