Viterbo graduate Sonja Larson has been awarded a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to study in Krakow, Poland, from October 2014–June 2015. Larson will study the music of the Holocaust with University of Warsaw Professor of Musicology Katarzyna Naliwajek-Mazurek.

Viterbo University will increase the number of paid internships offered to junior and senior students thanks to a $150,000 Career Ready Internship grant from Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation.
The 2014 Nursing Career Fair is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 6 from noon-3:30 p.m. in the School of Nursing Building room 195 and lobby. Nurse recruiters from regional health care facilities will be on campus to share information about available internship and employment positions in their health care facilities.
Board of Trustees Meeting Oct. 6
The fall meeting of the Board of Trustees will take place Monday, Oct 6. Four new trustees will attend an orientation program Sunday, Oct. 5. The new trustees are Tony Binsfeld (La Crosse), alumnus Greg Lind (Seattle), Katie Mitchell, FSPA, (Chicago), and alumnus Brian Soller (Maple Grove, Minn.).
The Franciscan Spirituality Center has started a new Imago Dei Women’s Group, offering female survivors of sexual abuse and assault a nonjudgmental space to reflect and heal.
The University Forum originally scheduled for inservice week will be held Thursday, Sept. 4 from 3:30–4:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. All employees are encouraged to attend.

The public is invited to attend the forum “Government Reform in the Republic of Georgia” at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22 in the Reinhart Center Board Room.
