Ambree Schlosser Excels on and off the Court

Viterbo nursing major Ambree Schlosser discovered one of her passions very early in life. “I started with basketball in third grade and I’ve been playing year-round ever since,” said Schlosser, an Eau Galle native who is in the midst of her senior season as a standout player on the women’s basketball team. “I wanted to play in college and Viterbo provided me with a great opportunity.”

Poet Helps Viterbo Students Find Music in Language

Viterbo Music Professor Mary Ellen Haupert was visiting her daughter in Indianapolis when she spotted Ben Bernthal sitting behind an old-fashioned typewriter and a sign that read “give words, get poems.”

Haupert was intrigued and decided to offer the poet some seemingly random words, and wait for the resulting verse. Bernthal got to work, and soon returned with a fully-formed poem.
