Health Services will be offering flu shots for students and employees on Wednesday, Sept. 29 from 9:30–11:30 a.m. in MRC 346 and Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. in Assisi Courtyard during Franny Fest. The cost for students is $8, as the Student Government Association will be covering the remaining $10. Employees who receive health insurance through the university will not be charged and insurance will be billed. For employees without university insurance the cost is $18. TRIO students will also be covered through their program. No appointments are necessary. For questions call health services at 608-796-3806. A COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine will also be offered at no charge.

The Global Connections Club meeting will be 6–7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28. Egg rolls from Hmong Golden Egg Roll available.

Employees and students are invited to the Help Desk Open House on Wednesday, Sept. 29 in Murphy Center 301 from 2–5 p.m. This is an opportunity to stop by and meet IIT’s newly added Help Desk Technician, Jeff Auxier, and to see the remodeled space. Enjoy snacks, coffee, and a fun game for a chance at a prize.

Viterbo FAC Employee Season Packages: The Viterbo University Fine Arts Center (FAC) is excited to welcome patrons back for the 50th anniversary season. The 2021–22 On Stage brochure can be found at www.viterbo.edu/fine-arts-center. Discounted presenting series packages are available for Viterbo full-time, permanent part-time, and retired employees until Oct. 15. More info can be found in employee mailboxes or by calling the Viterbo Box Office at 608-796-3100 or stopping by in person (main floor of Viterbo FAC). The box office is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

All students and employees are invited to the Annual Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, Oct. 8 from 4:30–7:30 p.m. in the NRC Lobby. There will be a both outside the bookstore on campus to purchase tickets from 11–2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 27, and Tuesday, Sept. 28. “Supporting Afghan Evacuees: A Panel Discussion” will run from 7–8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, in the FSPA Lobby of the Viterbo Fine Arts Center. The panelists will include Lt. Col. Erik Archer, UW-La Crosse professor of military science; Anthony Chergosky, UWL assistant professor of political science; and Roberto Partarrieu, executive director of Catholic Charities. Admission is free. Face masks are required.

Western Technical College in Tomah will be hosting a viewing of the live stream in the Community Room, 120 E. Milwaukee St. Seating will be limited to 60 people, and face masks are required. The discussion is sponsored by UW-La Crosse, Viterbo University, and Western Technical College.

Participants will complete a survey, participate in a free nutrition education session, and meet with dietetic interns over the course of the study via Zoom.
