The La Crosse County CVSO is offering monthly on-campus appointments starting this Thursday, Feb. 17 from noon–4 p.m. for veterans, military, and family members who would like assistance with their state and federal benefits. The Student Veterans of America Club is having a membership drive in the School of Nursing Foyer on Friday, Feb. 18, 2020 from 10 a.m.–noon. Stop by for information.

A employee photo shoot will be held Thursday, Feb. 17 from 2–2:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 23 11–11:30 a.m. both in Brophy Center 125. Anyone needing their photo taken or updated should attend one of the events.

Get away from the busyness of campus for a two-night retreat, where the Campus Ministry community will provide ample opportunities for reflection, community building, and rest. The Student Theatre Project is hosting a pop-up thrift store in the Nursing Building Lobby on Friday, Feb. 18 from 2–5 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 19 from 1:30–6:30 p.m. Donate your clothing and then come by to thrift some other items. Collection boxes will be located in the Student Union, Bona 545, Canticle 12, Treacy 4, and Clare 402 and 403. Touchstone Call for Submissions: Touchstone, Viterbo’s art and literary magazine, has extended their deadline to Monday, Feb. 21. Email a PDF of work to Touchstone@viterbo.edu. Submissions can include fiction and creative nonfiction (less than 1000 words) and up to three poems or six pages total.

Students’ Experience of Belonging in College. David Saunders-Scott, Associate Professor of Psychology, is conducting a study in an effort to understand and improve students’ experience of belonging (feeling ‘at home’, socially connected, supported, respected, and treated as a person of value by peers/faculty/staff). Are you in higher education (college, university, graduate school or pre professional programming) and would like to be part of research to help others like you? A graduate student is conducting research to examine the risk of eating disorder related behaviors and thoughts in college age students, specifically the incidence in which it occurs in students involved in a  health-related area of study versus those in a non-health related area of study.
