Coming Up:

Attend the first of three Belief Beyond Borders Interfaith Lunch Conversations on Hmong Spirituality, Islam, and Judaism, respectively. The first lunch conversation on Hmong spirituality is slated for Monday, April 12 from noon–1 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Hospitality Suite with special guest Houa Yang. A special lunch featuring Hmong specialties will be served. All employees and students are welcome. Spots are limited, so sign up today via this link. Event organizers will follow up with registrants to finalize lunch orders. This series is part of the university’s ongoing social justice and equity train-the-trainer initiative.

Friday, April 9 and Saturday, April 10 at 7 p.m. Attend the Theatre and Music Theatre Department Class of 2021 Senior Showcase virtual watch party. The Recreation Department is offering a Powerlifting Challenge starting Wednesday, April 7- Friday, May 7. Viterbo students will compete in squat, bench, and deadlift. Awards will be presented for most improvement, best lift, best total, and best lift and total in each weight category. All levels of experience welcome. Campus Activities and the Recreation Department are teaming up to offer Tuesday Night Trivia. Join us Tuesdays at 7 p.m. starting on April 13 for Kahoot trivia on Zoom. The first night is Music Trivia. 

The Recreation Department is sponsoring a 9-hole Golf Scramble at Forest Hills Golf Course in La Crosse on Tuesday, April 27 from 4 - 5:30 p.m. for Viterbo Students. Viterbo students, faculty, and employees can join UW-L, Western Technical College, and Winona State in an open conversation about mental health and self-care with some experts from various campuses to assist in the conversation. Viterbo students can join Megan Pierce, Director of International & Intercultural Student Success for Dialogue in the Diversity Lounge on Thursday, April 8 at 3 p.m. This is an opportunity to share and process events at Viterbo and nationally in a low-key and informal setting.

The Viterbo Art Department is hosting a series of art workshops for the Viterbo community. Workshops are open to all Viterbo students, faculty, and staff. No art experience is necessary for any of the workshops. Space is limited and registration is required. Take home pieces that you can wear. Led by Katie Weise, Viterbo faculty. *Note:  This is a two-part workshop that will take place on consecutive Thursday evenings (April 8 and April 15) from 6–8 p.m. in FAC 301. Space is limited to 10. Open Clay Studio: Try your hand in creating functional or sculptural forms in clay, on the potter's wheel or by hand-building them. No experiences necessary. Space is limited to 10. Beginning Botanical Illustration: Learn traditional approaches to botanical illustration, working from live specimens using graphite and watercolor. Hope in a Suit Case Drive ends April 12: Did you know that more than 23,000 children max out of foster care system every year? What can you do to help? IIT is using Revelation Help Desk to accept work-tickets from departments and students across campus. The system allows end-users to submit tickets for technology related issues (i.e. classroom issues, internet issues, hardware/software problems, etc). It also contains a self-help knowledge base filled with common issues to allow end-users to troubleshoot on their own (i.e. cell phone setup, password questions, WiFi help, etc).  Link: www.viterbo.edu/helpdesk.
