VITERBO RONALD MCDONALD ARTS FOR YOUNG AMERICA FAMILY SERIES TO FEATURE JABALI ACROBATS APRIL 28

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The incredibly talented acrobats and artists of the Jabali Acrobats will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 28 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

Originating in Mombasa, Kenya, these talented acrobats/artists have thrilled audiences of all ages with their unique display of athleticism, art, movement, and acrobatic majesty. Their breathtaking performance exemplifies the link between athletics and the arts as the incredible acrobatics, contortions, tumbling, human pyramids, and chair-balancing skills of these performers turns to dance with the Congo Snake Dance, Flamingo Limbo Bar Dance, Skip Rope Footwork techniques, and comedy along with electrifying music.

In addition to theatrical performances, stage shows, and festivals worldwide, the Jabali Acrobats perform at NBA and college basketball halftime shows and tour regularly with the Harlem Globetrotters. Other performances included a special invitation to perform for President Clinton in the White House, the Big Top Universoul Circus, the Big Apple Circus in New York, on ESPN, the Crook and Chase Show, and Late Night with David Letterman, and many others since the group began in 1995.

This performance is part of the Viterbo Ronald McDonald Arts for Young America Family Series. It is sponsored by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Wisconsin and Southeastern Minnesota and in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
