VITERBO PLATINUM EDITION SHOW CHOIR TO CELEBRATE DISNEY WITH WALT’S WORLD OF MUSIC AND MAGIC OCT. 31

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University’s popular Platinum Edition show choir will present an evening of great singing and dancing as they celebrate the music of Walt Disney with Walt’s World of Music and Magic at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

Walt’s World of Music and Magic will include a wide variety of music ranging from the earliest Disney animations of the 1940s to the modern Touchstone and Miramax movies of today. It will also have a vast array of costumes and styles.

“It will be a great show featuring timeless and beloved music performed by some very talented students,” said Nancy Allen, Viterbo music department faculty member and director of Platinum Edition. “There is literally something for everyone, from children to grandparents.”

Songs to be performed include Aladdin, Let it Go, Beauty and the Beast, A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes, Star Wars, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and many more Disney classics.

Platinum Edition will be joined by guest performers the Coulee Kids Choir, the Viterbo 9th Street Singers, and G-E-T fourth grade student Rubie Stetzer. Four premiere show choir choreographers from across the country are providing their services on the production. Fellow Viterbo faculty member Matthew Campbell will be the Master of Ceremonies. Allen will serve as the pianist for the performance. She will be joined by a band of well-known local musicians.

Walt’s World of Music and Magic is the 17th fall show for Platinum Edition. The group is nationally known in show choir circles and has performed across the U.S., including in New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, and Branson, Mo.

Tickets are $20 for main floor, $17 for lower balcony, and $14 for upper balcony seating. For more information, contact the Viterbo box office at 608-796-3100 or visit www.viterbo.edu/fac.
