Viterbo will celebrate the inauguration of Glena Temple as the university’s ninth president Friday, April 7, followed by Inauguration Service Saturday April 8.

Inauguration day April 7 will begin with a liturgy in San Damiano Chapel at 1 p.m. The installation ceremony will be held in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre at 3 p.m., with a reception to follow in the Fine Arts Center Lobby. Afternoon classes are cancelled beginning at 12:20 p.m. that day. The Viterbo community is welcome to attend both events. Faculty, staff, and administrators are encouraged to join the processional in academic regalia. More information on that will follow after spring break.

The Viterbo community is also invited to submit messages of best wishes or congratulations to President Temple on the inauguration website.

Register to volunteer at one of 19 sites during a special Inauguration Service Saturday April 8. Guests and families are also invited to participate. Meet at the Mathy Center and provide service in the community from 8:15 a.m.–noon. Lunch for all participants will be served from noon–1 p.m. in the Mathy Center.
