ACCLAIMED ASPEN SANTA FE BALLET TO PERFORM AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY MARCH 18

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Experience contemporary-classical ballet at its finest as the acclaimed Aspen Santa Fe Ballet performs at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 18 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

Founded in 1996 with six dancers, the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet is today a premiere dance company that features top global choreographers, distinctive groundbreaking works, and virtuoso dancers. The organization’s deep commitment to curating new ballets while cultivating choreographic talent has resulted in a catalogue of adventurous repertoire.

The company has received rave reviews as they have toured nationally and internationally and have been described as “simply breathtaking…,” according to reviewer Hedy Weiss of The Chicago Sun Times.

The Aspen Santa Fe Ballet has a strong national reputation and has performed repeat engagements at the American Dance Festival, Harris Theater for Music and Dance, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Joyce Theater, The Kennedy Center, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and Wolf Trap. They have also performed in Brazil, Canada, France, Greece, Guatemala, Israel, Italy, and Russia.

This performance is part of Viterbo’s Bright Star Season and is sponsored in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
