Elementary Spanish
Culturally authentic technology and print materials at the introductory level are used to facilitate communication skills in Spanish for everyday conversations and interactions. Students will practice reading, writing, and speaking skills such as using complete sentences, responding to questions, and building vocabulary and syntax knowledge. By the end of the semester, students will reach the Novice High proficiency level established by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. Recommended for students with no previous Spanish study. Prerequisite: C or higher in 101 or by departmental exam.
