Valeria Stepanova's research interests range from Mössbauer spectroscopy to organophosphorus, organopalladium, and green chemistry. The current focus of Dr. S's research lab is on the development of green methodologies towards curcuminoids. Curcumin is one of the main components of turmeric and has numerous pharmacological uses. Her research group designs and synthesizes curcuminoids, compounds with even bigger medicinal potential! Her lab group's methodologies produce curcuminoids easier, faster, and with higher purity.
