The Viterbo Fine Arts Center is seeking crew members for the national Broadway tour of HAIRSPRAY Feb. 4 and 5, 2023. Interested individuals ages 18 and up with various skill levels, from industry experts to no previous experience, should fill out this interest form. Training will be provided as needed. Wages are from $16/hour to $25/hour depending on the crew position assignment and level of experience. Any Viterbo student may qualify for this paid opportunity at the above rates. 

The Late Night Student Breakfast is Sunday, Dec. 11 from 9–10 p.m. in the Caf. Join for a fun (and free) evening of pancakes, sausages, hash browns, and end-of-the-semester revelry as Viterbo kicks off finals week.

The Viterbo community is invited to an open house in the new orientation and engagement office Tuesday, Dec. 13 anytime between 10 a.m.–1 p.m. in Murphy 374. This open house is offered to all students and employees to see the new space that is open for students and employees to work, study, collaborate, connect, or rest. Snacks will be provided.

Viterbo students are invited to register for a Spring Break Service Immersion to Milwaukee from Sunday March 12, returning to campus on Friday March 17.  Click here to register. The small group of 10 students + 2 Viterbo employees will stay at Casa Romero Retreat Center downtown Milwaukee. The group will visit multiple non-profits to serve alongside, learn from, and build relationships with a variety of organizations and the guests they serve. The group will engage with reflective activities, service, and a few cultural immersion experiences throughout the week. The Viterbo community is invited to the 2022 National Qualifiers Reception on Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 11:45 a.m.–1 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Lobby. The purpose of this event is to recognize those individual student-athletes or teams who qualified for National Championships between January 2022 and December 2022.

The Viterbo community is invited to a free student recital presented this Sunday by baritone Matthew Olson at 3 p.m. in the Nola Starling Recital Hall. This recital is offered in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree Bachelor of Music in Applied Music Performance and will include a light reception afterward.

The Viterbo University Conservatory for the Performing Arts will present the beloved holiday opera Amahl and the Night Visitors by Gian Carlo Menotti at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, and Saturday, Dec. 10 in the Cappella Performing Arts Center located at 721 King Street in La Crosse.

Students in Viterbo University’s Nursing 514 class “Climate Change and Health: Global Awareness and Social Justice” have produced a four-part podcast featuring experts discussing the interrelated topics of climate and health. An episode of the podcast, entitled “Truth, Courage, and Solutions,” will be released on YouTube each day from Monday, Dec. 5–Thursday, Deb. 8. For more information, click here.
