Join campus ministry and military student success as they honor Viterbo and La Crosse community veterans at the annual Viterbo Veterans Day ceremony. The ceremony will be held on Friday, November 11, from 11–11:45 a.m. at San Damiano Chapel. Immediately following the ceremony, there will be the raising of the POW/MIA flag in the courtyard located behind Brophy and a small lunch reception in the Brophy Foyer. Contact Samuel Morris at sdmorris@viterbo.edu to learn more. In addition, any veteran or active military member eats lunch for free on Friday, Nov. 11 in The Caf with an ID.
Pi Phi will present an Nursing Alumni Panel: Recent Graduates Bridging the Gap from Student to Success on Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 6–8 p.m. in NRC 195. There will be eight recent graduates coming in to talk to nursing students about their journey from graduation to their current career. They are prepared and happy to answer student questions regarding decision making, such as “how do you feel about going right into a specialty area?,” how did they feel about their first job, any additional training they needed for their current jobs etc. Come prepared with questions and stay for some pizza and inspiration for graduation and beyond.
December Graduate Countdown to Commencement is Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 3:30–5:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center FSPA Lobby. Pick up regalia, which includes cap and gown, honor medallions, learn about the Senior Class Gift, alumni benefits, graduate programs, Senior Soiree dinner with the president, Sending and Blessing ceremony, important information about commencement weekend. Graduates can take a complimentary grad photo at this event to upload into a graduate slideshow. Complimentary appetizers and refreshments to celebrate your upcming graduation. Free Nutrition Coaching for employees: Graduate dietetics students will be providing free nutrition counseling and education sessions as part of their advanced nutrition counseling course at Viterbo. Dates for the nutrition assessment will be Nov. 28–Dec. 10. Dates for the education and goal setting session are Dec. 6–10. Each session will be 100% virtual, or by phone, based on the comfort level of the participant. Interested individuals may sign up with Tiffany Lein at tllein@viterbo.edu. Spots are limited. Registration is open now until filled, with preference by Nov. 18.
Wellness Coaching for Students is now available. All participants start with an initial consultation with regular coaching session last 30 to 50 minutes, depending on the client. Individuals can book a session here. Click here for more information on wellness coaching.
