Health Services will be offering the new Pfizer Bivalent booster shots on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 2–4 p.m. for students and employees in Murphy Center 340. No appointment is necessary. For those interested in starting the primary series of vaccines, Health Services will also make those available. Remember, these vaccines wane over time, so boosters help continue your protection from COVID-19 disease. Questions, call Sue at 796-3806.

Health Services will be offering a Flu Shot Clinic in Murphy Center 340 on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m.–noon. Cost is $9 for students (unless in TRIO) and $19 for employees (unless on the VU insurance plan). Those unable to come during this time, can schedule an individual appointment through Starfish and employees may call Sue at 608-796-3806.

Nursing students of all levels are invited to join Pi Phi as we play an interactive game entitled “Friday Night in the ER,” on Wednesday Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. in NRC 195. No nursing courses are required prior to playing the game. This is a great way to end a stressful week of midterm exams. Learn leadership skills, some aspects of running a hospital, and financial decisions in a relaxed atmosphere of excitement and laughter among peers.

Join graduate admissions and the MBA/MASL Alumni Chapter for the next NetworkNite at VU event series for an evening of networking and a mini-master class on improving communication in a crisis on Oct. 18, 6–7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center FSPA Lobby. Juan Jimenez ’01, ’06, associate dean of general studies and services at Western Technical College, will share his communications expertise in a presentation for business and organizational leaders. Professionals and leaders from all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to attend including faculty and staff. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cash bar. Register online by Oct. 13.
