Be an inauguration flag bearer: As part of the inauguration festivities on Friday, Oct. 14, there will be a procession of international flags representing the countries of Viterbo students, staff, and alumni. Seventy-four countries will be represented. Flag bearers are needed to honor the diversity of the Viterbo campus. If you are interested, complete this brief survey: https://viterbo.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_55yIrhvB0j7GYBg. The procession will gather in the Fine Arts Center Nola Starling Recital Hall at 1:30 p.m. and process outside (weather permitting) to the west entrance to the Main Theatre. The procession will begin about 1:50 p.m. so that the flags reach the theatre at the designated starting time of 2 p.m. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in the flag procession. Faculty can wear their academic regalia and can sit with the faculty or the other flag bearers. More detailed instructions will be sent in the week leading up to the inauguration.

As fire prevention month approaches, remember: Whether you live on or off campus take the time to learn the sounds of fire safety. Hear a beep, get on your feet. Get out and stay out, call 911 from outside. Hear a chirp, make a change. A chirping alarm needs attention.  Replace the batteries or the entire alarm.

  • Three loud beeps mean smoke or fire is detected by a smoke alarm.
  • A continuous set of four beeps means carbon monoxide.
  • A single “chirp” every 30 to 60 seconds means a low battery. If the chirp continues after you’ve replaced the battery this means the alarm needs to be replaced. Alarms should be replaced if they’re over 10 years old.

IIT accepts work-tickets from employees and students, via an online system called Revelation Help Desk. This allows the end-user to submit ticket(s) for technology related issues (i.e. classroom problems, internet connectivity concerns, hardware/software glitches, form access questions, etc). It also contains a self-help knowledge base filled with common questions/answers, to allow the end-user to troubleshoot on their own (i.e. cell phone email setup, password questions, WiFi help, etc).
