As fire prevention month approaches, remember: In most cases where fire fatalities have occurred on college campuses, alcohol was a factor. After a party or get-together where alcohol is consumed, check for smoking materials, especially under cushions. Chairs and sofas catch on fire easily and burn fast.
Viterbo Leads is a new initiative to help build the next generation of women leaders in higher education through one-on-one mentorship and group enrichment sessions. This program targets early career professionals and will help those involved explore and expand their network and develop their career trajectory. Mid-way through the year, participants will be paired one on one with a campus leader. Nominations and self-nominations will open until Sept. 30. The mentorship program will begin in late October with a cohort of ten to fifteen. This program is a joint effort of the division of diversity, equity and inclusion and the College of Business, Leadership, Ethics, and Education. For questions reach out to Marlene De La Cruz or Tonya Wagner.
