Be an inauguration flag bearer: As part of the inauguration festivities on Friday, Oct. 14, there will be a procession of international flags representing the countries of Viterbo students, staff, and alumni. Seventy-four countries will be represented. Flag bearers are needed to honor the diversity of the Viterbo campus. If you are interested, complete this brief survey: https://viterbo.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_55yIrhvB0j7GYBg. The procession will gather in the Fine Arts Center Nola Starling Recital Hall at 1:30 p.m. and process outside (weather permitting) to the west entrance to the Main Theatre. The procession will begin about 1:50 p.m. so that the flags reach the theatre at the designated starting time of 2 p.m. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in the flag procession. Faculty can wear their academic regalia and can sit with the faculty or the other flag bearers. More detailed instructions will be sent in the week leading up to the inauguration.
The annual Alumni Choir Concert will take place on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 3 p.m. in San Damiano Chapel. All Viterbo alumni are invited to join in the singing of Rachmaninoff’s Borgoroditse Devo (sung as Ave Maria) and Hall Johnson’s Ain’t Got Time to Die, conducted by Dan Johnson-Wilmot. The combined rehearsal will take place at 1 p.m. in San Damiano the day-of. Those interested in registering are asked to do so prior to Monday, Oct. 3. A reception will be held in the Assisi Courtyard immediately following the performance.
