6 p.m. We Live in La Crosse – Stories of Belonging – NRC 195 – Join Dr. Heather Linville (from UW-La Crosse) in this community exploration of language, identity, and belonging. Engage with digital stories created by multilingual youth and adults, told using words, images, and music.

6–8 p.m. "Nothing but Nets" – Marian Courtyard – Join for a night of sand volleyball, crossness, and spikeball

7 p.m. Yoga – Assisi Courtyard (near Prayer Garden) – Mats are provided for those who don’t have their own.

Pause for Paws will be in the Student Union Lobby tomorrow, Sept. 28 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Take five minutes or the full time to relax, socialize and destress with four-legged furry friends.

A free self-defense class provided by the Ironworks Driftless Acadamy will be offered tomorrow, Sept. 28 from 5–6 p.m. at the Mathy Center. Register here. 

Student sustainability club is having plant sale on Sept. 28, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. in the Franciscan way turn around. The art department will also be having a pottery sale at the event.

The deadline to register for the Inauguration Games Kickball Tournament is Friday, Sept. 30. Student and employee teams are needed to compete on Oct. 13, 3–7 p.m. Dinner will be provided by the Aramark team at 4:30 p.m. in Assisi Courtyard. Each participating team will receive a free t-shirt and the champions will walk away with a trophy and bragging rights. Sign up as either an individual or as a team of 10.

As fire prevention month approaches, remember: Shockingly easy ways to prevent electrical fires include: Never use an extension cord with an appliance, plug them directly into wall sockets; Do not piggyback or plug a power strip of any type into another; Be careful not to overload electrical sockets.

Interpersonal Effectiveness Group: Join counseling services for a new group focused on managing yourself in relationship to others. The group will be focusing on aspects of individual experiences from the past and present in order to shift and change how individuals understand themselves when feeling activated by the behaviors of others. This group is recommended for people in education, nursing, social work, or any other field where there will be a lot of high stress interpersonal engagement with peers and/or individuals receiving services. For questions or more information contact Justin McKnight at jsmcknight@viterbo.edu . The group will run Wednesday from 4–5:15 p.m. every other week for five sessions in the counseling services waiting area on the third floor of Murphy Center.
