Interpersonal Effectiveness Group: Join counseling services for a new group focused on managing yourself in relationship to others. The group will be focusing on aspects of individual experiences from the past and present in order to shift and change how individuals understand themselves when feeling activated by the behaviors of others. This group is recommended for people in education, nursing, social work, or any other field where there will be a lot of high stress interpersonal engagement with peers and/or individuals receiving services. For questions or more information contact Justin McKnight at jsmcknight@viterbo.edu . The group will run Wednesday from 4–5:15 p.m. every other week for five sessions in the counseling services waiting area on the third floor of Murphy Center.
As fire prevention month approaches, remember: the combination of working smoke alarms and fire sprinklers reduces the likelihood of dying in a fire by more than 82%. Don’t hang things on or cover fire sprinklers, which could affect their ability to work properly. When a smoke alarm sounds or a sprinkler activates, immediately evacuate the building to the designated assembly areas. NEVER assume it’s a false alarm.
Student and employee reminder: Be aware of Viterbo-only parking lots and street allowed spaces with your purchase of the annual permit. VU permits allow parking on the south and west (or Viterbo sides) of Franciscan Way, however, the north and east (or FSPA, Convent and Chapel sides) of Franciscan Way are clearly marked and not allowed for VU permits. Violations of parking in the FSPA marked spaces will force a citation/ticket on your vehicle.
