Going Home Like a Shooting Star, Sister Thea Bowman's Journey to Sainthood, will air on ABC stations this fall. Join the FSPA for a preview party on Monday, Sept. 26 in the Fine Arts Center Nola Starling Recital Hall. The reception starts at 6 p.m. and showtimes are 6:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. No RSVP necessary. All showings are central time. In person-only event.

Student and employee reminder: Be aware of Viterbo-only parking lots and street allowed spaces with your purchase of the annual permit. VU permits allow parking on the south and west (or Viterbo sides) of Franciscan Way, however, the north and east (or FSPA, Convent and Chapel sides) of Franciscan Way are clearly marked and not allowed for VU permits. Violations of parking in the FSPA marked spaces will force a citation/ticket on your vehicle.

Viterbo University junior Ernesto Ascenzo was named the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. He made six saves and stopped a penalty kick in a 2-0 victory against Central College (Iowa) last Saturday. The junior goalkeeper recorded his seventh shutout of the season.

Student employment opportunity, $11 hourly pay: The advancement team is looking for students to join their phonation efforts for the fall semester. Students are the heart of Viterbo University, and in that spirit they play a vital role in Viterbo’s fundraising efforts by connecting with donors. The opportunity will include up to 20 nights of calling between Sept. 26–Nov. 3. Normal calling nights are Sunday–Thursday from 5–8:30 p.m.

Writing and Scholarship Group: Interested faculty may join a daily Zoom meeting at 7:50 a.m. to meet briefly with peers before and after spending an hour on their own writing/scholarship. This group helps maintain whatever personal scholarship goals have been set. Join any or all days Monday–Friday this semester (Sept. 19–Dec. 16).
