Julio Bird, M.D., the first Puerto Rican to climb Mt. Everest, shared his experiences in Tibet with Viterbo community members as part of World View Week Jan. 20.

Dave Rogers, owner of Dave’s Guitar Shop in La Crosse, will speak as part of the Leadership at Noon Series Tuesday, Jan. 27 in the Reinhart Center Board Room.

The first event of this semester’s Career Readiness Series will be “Keep Calm and Interview On,” a panel presentation scheduled for 5–6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5 in the School of Nursing Building room 195. 

Civil rights icon Ruby Bridges, who at six years old was the first black student to desegregate William Frantz Public School in New Orleans, was the keynote speaker at the annual La Crosse Community Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Jan. 19 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

The Workforce Career and Internship Fair for students attending Wisconsin private colleges and universities will be held at the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds in Milwaukee Monday, Feb. 23 from 3–7 p.m.

Viterbo will present a concert production of the iconic musical West Side Story at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30–Saturday Jan. 31 and Friday, Feb. 6–Saturday, Feb. 7 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8.

James Sewell Ballet will present Lover and Other Works at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
