Viterbo University will recognize the volunteer accomplishments of 47 students from nine different high schools Monday, April 27, 7-8 p.m. at the 19th Annual Volunteer Recognition ceremony held in the Fine Arts Center. This tradition was initiated by the late Fr. Tom O’Neill as a means to encourage and acknowledge the volunteer accomplishment of young men and women who are often unrecognized for their service.
The Viterbo University Concert Choir and 9th Street Singers will present their final concert of the year at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 2 at St. Paul Lutheran’s Church, located at 420 West Avenue, La Crosse.

As part of Earth Day activities held Wednesday, participants were able to get an early start on spring by seeding small pots. Sponsored by the Environmental Sustainability Club, a number of booths featured information and tips on bringing about global awareness.
Employee volunteers are needed for the Volunteer Guardianship Program with La Crosse County Adult Protective Services.
Volunteer guardians are appointed to help an individual (ward) who can no longer make decisions for him or herself. These decisions could be about health care, living arrangements, or social and supportive services. As a volunteer guardian, an individual would be matched with someone whose needs fit his or her skills, abilities and interests.
