More than $11,800 Awarded to Area Schools to Attend Performances at Viterbo University

OVER $11,800 AWARDED TO AREA SCHOOLS TO ATTEND PERFORMANCES AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University, with financial assistance from Macy’s and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Wisconsin and Southeastern Minnesota, has awarded over $11,800 to area schools to help offset the costs of field trips to see performances at the university.

Rick and Joan Artman to be Honored at Halftime of Wednesday’s Men’s Basketball Game

President Rick Artman and his wife Joan will be recognized for their years of service to Viterbo University at half-time of the men’s basketball game at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 in the Varsity Athletics Center.

Attend “The Price of Sand” Tomorrow

The Viterbo community is invited to attend the presentation “The Price of Sand” from 6–8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov 15 in the School of Nursing Building room 196.

“The Price of Sand” will be presented by Christopher Iremonger, biology. It will explore the issue of frac sand mining.

Hospitality Committee Soup Lunch Nov. 21

An exhibit featuring the art of students Daniel Hayes and Beth Metelko will open with a reception at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 in the Viterbo University Gallery.

The exhibit, entitled “Bright Eyed,” will include prints, handmade books, digital media, and drawings.
