WORLD RENOWNED VOCAL ENSEMBLE VOCES8 TO PERFORM AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY FEB. 23

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The British vocal ensemble Voces8, one of the most versatile and best-loved singing groups in the world, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

Voces8 tours extensively throughout Europe, North America, and Asia, performing a repertory from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary commissions and arrangements. The group is heard regularly on international radio and television.

“The singing of Voces8 is impeccable in its quality of tone and balance,” according to Gramophone. “They bring a new dimension to the word ‘ensemble’ with meticulous timing and tuning.”

While in La Crosse, Voces8 will conduct a workshop with local high school choirs, including choirs from La Crescent High School, Tomah High School, and Central High School, among others. Each choir will have the opportunity to work with members of Voces8 as well as perform for one another and hear Voces8 perform.

This performance is part of Viterbo’s Bright Star Season and is supported by the Arts Midwest Touring Fund, a program of Arts Midwest that is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional contributions from the Wisconsin Arts Board, the Crane Group, and the General Mills Foundation.
