Workforce Career and Internship Fair in Milwaukee Feb. 16

The Workforce Career and Internship Fair for students attending Wisconsin private colleges and universities is scheduled for the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds in Milwaukee Tuesday, Feb. 16 from 3­–7 p.m. The Viterbo career services office is offering a free bus ride to the fair for the first 40 students to register. The bus will leave campus at noon and return at approximately 11 p.m. that day.

To register, students should stop by the career services office in Murphy Center room 374 or email careers@viterbo.edu by Wednesday, Feb. 10. Completed medical, emergency contact, and liability forms must be submitted by all students wishing to ride the bus.

Students attending the fair will have the opportunity to meet representatives from over 150 organizations interested in employees or interns from private colleges. Students should plan to bring several employer-ready resumes and to approach the interactions with potential employers as screening interviews. Career services will also offer services to help students prepare resumes for the fair:

  • Resume workshop Thursday, Feb. 4 from 4–5 p.m. in Murphy Center room 346
  • Drop-in resume review sessions for students to bring hard copy or electronic versions of their resumes for critique Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 1:30–3 p.m. in Murphy Center Lobby; Wednesday, Feb. 10 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in Murphy Center room 374; and Thursday, Feb. 11 in Brophy Center Commons.
