Workforce Career and Internship Fair Feb. 23

The Workforce Career and Internship Fair for students attending Wisconsin private colleges and universities will be held at the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds in Milwaukee Monday, Feb. 23 from 3–7 p.m.

The Viterbo career services office will be offering a free bus ride to the fair for the first 40 students to register. The bus will leave campus at noon and return at approximately 11:30 p.m. To register, students should visit the career services office in Murphy Center room 374 or email careers@viterbo.edu by Tuesday, Feb. 17. Updated emergency contact and release of liability forms must be completed by all students wishing to ride the bus.

Students attending the fair will have the opportunity to meet representatives from over 160 organizations interested in employees or interns from private colleges. Students should plan to bring several employer-ready resumes and to approach the interactions with potential employers as screening interviews. To help students prepare resumes for the fair, career services is offering:

  • Informational presentations about preparing a resume for a career fair are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 12 at noon in Murphy Center 378 and Thursday, Feb. 19 at 3:30 p.m. in Brophy Center room 202.
  • Resume review booths for students to bring drafts of their resumes for critique by staff members are scheduled for 2–4 p.m. in the library room 103 on Monday, Feb. 2, Tuesday, Feb. 10 and Wednesday, Feb. 18 as well as from noon–2 p.m. in the Brophy Center commons area Friday, Feb. 20. Students should bring a hard copy or electronic copy of their resume for review by career services staff.
