Wipfli Partner Mary Jo Werner to Open Leadership at Noon Series Tomorrow

Wipfli LLP partner Mary Jo Werner will open the 2014–15 Leadership at Noon series at Viterbo University Tuesday, Oct. 7 in Reinhart Center room 107.


Founded in 1930 in Wausau, Wipfli has grown to include 24 offices and 1,200 associates in the U.S. and India. The company has more than 30,000 clients and it ranks among the top 25 accounting and business consulting firms in the nation.


Werner works with clients to reduce their income and estate tax exposure, increasing their profitability. She also specializes as an expert witness for law firms and assists in fraud and forensic investigations.


Werner is an active member in the American, Wisconsin, and La Crosse Bar Associations, and both the American and Wisconsin Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. She serves as a liaison between the AICPA and U.S. Congress. Her civic and charitable memberships include the Kiwanis, Viterbo University’s President’s Society, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Chancellor’s Advisory Committee, the Gundersen Medical Foundation Board, the La Crosse Tribune Editorial Board, the UW-La Crosse Golden Key Honor Society, and the Aquinas Catholic Schools Foundation Board.


The Leadership at Noon series features business leaders discussing the key values that contribute to successful business practices. The series will continue Tuesday, Nov. 18 with La Crosse Loggers owner Dan Kapanke and general manager Chris Goodell.


All Leadership at Noon series events are held from noon–1 p.m. in the Reinhart Center Board Room and are free and open to the public. Audience members are welcome to bring their own lunch or purchase a boxed lunch for $5. The Leadership at Noon series is sponsored by the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership and the Dahl School of Business.
