WENDELL SNODGRASS NAMED VITERBO UNIVERSITY VICE PRESIDENT FOR INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Wendell Snodgrass has been named vice president for institutional advancement at Viterbo University effective Friday, July 31. Following a national search, Snodgrass was chosen to lead fundraising and benefactor relation efforts at Viterbo, succeeding Gary Klein who resigned in February.

In this senior Viterbo leadership position, Snodgrass will serve on the president’s cabinet and oversee alumni and benefactor relations, gifts, scholarship creation, and grants requests submitted on behalf of the university.

Snodgrass has nearly 20 years of experience in the advancement field, including his current post as chief advancement officer at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, Washington. Before taking the position at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, he served as vice president for advancement, development and alumni relations at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa.

“Wendell and his wife Jamie are closely aligned with Viterbo’s Franciscan values and they very much look forward to returning to the Midwest and being active members of the La Crosse community,” said Rick Artman, president of Viterbo University.

Originally from Kansas, Snodgrass earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. He and his wife have a one-year-old son, Wyatt.

“There are great things happening at Viterbo, and the university has an excellent reputation and enjoys tremendous community support,” Snodgrass said. “I greatly look forward to doing my best to advance the mission of Viterbo.”
